SPIRAC HTMAS and SPIRAC DURAFLO SPX
General description Advantages Technical specification Typical Applications
General description
The primary material used to produce SPIRAC's spirals is SPIRAC HTMAS - High Tensile Microalloyed Steel - which is a special steel from Sweden. The mechanical properties of SPIRAC HTMAS mean that the SPIRAC spiral has a very high tensile strength making it both wear and corrosion resistant.
Since introducing this product into the market 20 years ago SPIRAC now has over 100 spiral size, pitch and design combinations to ensure optimal selection on an individual product basis.
SPIRAC’s proprietary liner, DURAFLO SPX, is a specially formaulated High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) that has been designed specifically to ensure low wear and long life. A combination of material thickness and formulation gives DURAFLO SPX its unique wearing characteristics over standard materials.
The SPIRAC DURAFLO SPX liner comes in a two-colour format to allow easy visual identifications of wear and has a snap-in, snap-out feature enabling easy replacement.
SPIRAC DURAFLO SPX is unique to SPIRAC. It has been developed over many years and is one of the key features which ensures that SPIRAC conveyors are industry leading.
