Silo Discharge
The use of multiple SPIRAC Shaftless Screw Conveyors in a common trough allows high conveying capacities and bridge breaking properties for silo discharge.
General Description Advantages
General Description By installing 2,3,4 or more SPIRAC shaftless screws in a common trough underneath a storage hopper, a highly reliable solids removal system can be provided. Being shaftless, the spirals are very resilient to blockage and can accept variations in solids densities and dry solids contents. Their large open are encourages materials to fall inside and therefore overcome bridging problems in the silo. The system is highly flexible in operation and can be run at lower capacities depending upon employed control philosophy.
Typical Applications » Outloading stored sludge from silo at sewage treatment plants » Outloading green waste from biomass bins » Outloading industrial products from hoppers » Outloading grain

Advantages (^top) » SPIRAC spirals – highly reliable shaftless screws » High capacity outloading potential » Fixed or variable speed options » No internal bearings » No need for hydraulics » Range of outlet options » Live bottoms available in multiples of screws to suit any application » Virtually maintenance free » Low operating costs » Low capital cost
