Singapore's four major WWTPs were upgraded and modernized in the late 90s.
The massive sludge handling systems including kilometers of spiral conveyors, silos, hoppers and truck outload facilities were all designed around SPIRAC sludge handling equipment. Featuring high capacity, long run horizontal, inclined and vertical conveyors, these plants were a major success for the designers and owners. The SPIRAC equipment remains just as reliable and functional today as it was at commissioning time. These were major engineering and logistical challenges that are testament to SPIRAC's large project capability and global experience.
