OEM Project Manager/Designer

Job Summary: The OEM Project Manager/Engineering Technician is responsible for coordinating with OEM, Industrial, Non-Rep, and emerging market customers and overseeing the design, revision, and manufacture of conveyance systems. The OEM PM/ET is responsible for creating General Arrangement/ submittal drawings that meet customer specifications, communicating with customers regarding approval or necessary revisions to those drawings, coordinating with Engineering staff to make needed changes, obtaining signed customer approval of drawings, ensuring that necessary parts and materials are purchased and on hand for production, overseeing the manufacture of the final product meets customer specifications and arranging for delivery of the final product to the customer on schedule and on budget.

Job Responsibilities/Description:

  • Completes projects by organizing and controlling project elements
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals, plans and specifications while conferring with management
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements
  • Create project general arrangement drawings for submittal
  • Assist with instructions for Engineering and Shop personnel in meeting project specifications, and scheduling requirements, monitor and report on project progress
  • Coordinate with purchasing for the purchasing of parts and materials necessary for job completion on schedule
  • Ensure that the final product meets the specifications of the signed and approved customer drawings
  • Coordinate with shipping to ensure delivery of the final product upon completion
  • Assist customers in the field with any complications or questions that arise on the job site upon delivery
  • Work with customers for any warranty concerns/issues that arise
  • Schedule Startup/Commissioning of conveyor with customer
  • Responsible for other tasks as assigned

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in 3D modeling, Autodesk Inventor preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Effective communication skills
