Grit Handling Solutions

We supply well proven systems for the removal and washing of grit from wastewater. Our SANDSEP® grit classifier delivers reliable grit separation with minimal maintenance. Its shaftless spiral design ensures efficient dewatering and long service life. For enhanced performance, pair it with SANDWASH™, which removes organic content from grit, and SPIROSEP®, a compact vortex system for grit capture. Together, these solutions streamline wastewater treatment and reduce operating costs.

Products for grit removal include the established SPIROSEP^® Grit Vortex which, when used in a grit capture system offers advantages such as low power consumption and maintenance requirements, low first cost, small footprint and fewer moving parts for simple and reliable operation. As well as the SANDSEP^® and the SANDWASH^TM.

The SANDSEP^® is a highly efficient unit designed to separate grit and other pollutants from process and effluent streams. 

SPIRAC offers several levels of grit washing, from simple rinse to a high effectiveness batch washer, the model SGW.  This is designed for those applications where any visible organics on the grit is unacceptable.

Integrated systems can be configured using a range of high-efficiency products for grit separation, washing, conveying, and ultimately storing and transporting material in a SPIROTAINER^®.
