Pre treament WASTEWATER SOLUTION FOR GOONDIWINDI, AUSTRALIA

Goondiwindi Inlet Works

The first Goondiwindi Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) plant was constructed in the late 1960’s.

While the quality of water supplied for irrigation of the golf course and race track was generally fit for purpose, the treated effluent that was discharged to the environment required an upgrade to reduce concentrations of suspended solids.

The updated plant is designed to accommodate 139l/s PWWF with internal bypass and stop board systems. At the head of the plant are two STEPGUARD® screens and a SPIROWASH® unit to wash the extracted screenings, dewater and discharge them to a bin.

Grit is captured via our Grit Vortex Unit and conveyed to the SANDWASHTM our Grit Washer for cleaning and discharging to a bin. The majority of equipment is being manufactured in Perth, Australia and transported in components to site for assembly.
