SPIRAC contracted with a major coking coal processor in 2008 to supply a hopper fed twin screw feed system to transfer dewatered coal cake from plate-frame filter presses to two long run conveyor belts.
Large diameter large pitch shaftless screws break up and transport the sticky, dense sludge to allow gradual feed from the large batch process of the filter-presses to the continuous transport of the long run belt conveyors.
