The Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant in South Australia was originally built in 1932 with a number of subsequent capacity upgrades to accommodate increasing demand. This treatment plant is part of the key infrastructure required to provide a reliable and secure wastewater service to the southwest region of metropolitan Adelaide.

WEFTEC 2016 took place in New Orleans from 26 - 28 September 2016. SPIRAC presented its solutions on an exhibition booth of more than 800ft². A great number of visitors took this opportunity to get a better understanding of our solutions. The number of visitors exceeded all our expectations and we consider our participation at WEFTEC 2016 to be a big success.

The Bergen Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, Suffolk County, NY, USA

The Challenge

SPIRAC was asked to manufacture and install eight spiral shaftless conveyors at the Bergen Point Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Suffolk County, NY. Totalling over 300 ft. in shaftless conveyors that had to be able to handle the plants sludge capacity of 1250 ft3/hr.
