The improved COMBIGUARD® Type 1 is a combination of SPIROGUARD® CC our shaftless spiral conveyor screen mounted on a SANDSEP® Long (SAL), a rectangular tank with horizontal & incline conveyors for small to midsize Wastewater Treatment Plants. SPIROGUARD® CC Screen is designed for pump-fed applications.

This project includes shaftless spiral conveyor systems and four round silos with sliding frames. Each of these four large silos has an effective net volume of 840m3 and was manufactured by Permastore. The silos are fed with sludge by a network of inclined and vertical shaftless spiral conveyors.
VafabMiljö Kommunalförbund upgraded the biogas facility at the Västerås waste facility to increase biogas production. It is a plant that primarily digests source-separated food wastes from the region. Other materials that are digested are floating substrates, such as sludge from grease-removal tanks and packaged foodstuffs.
Customizable and durable conveying equipment is essential for today's sludge systems. An array of equipment can help make that goal a reality, but at the peak of efficiency lie, shaftless spiral conveyors, with expected system life of 20 to 25 years.
Sludge Transport
The FINEGUARDTM screen continually moves panels from the screening zone, in the channel in front of the equipment, to the two-stage panel cleaning process mechanism where the waste is removed from the perforated panels.
Richard Le Roy Bruke 13 January 1930 – 26 August 2020:
It is with great sadness that I am writing about the passing of Richard Le Roy Bruke, co-founder of SPIRAC.
SPIRAC was asked to install four DRUMGUARDTM units in an existing river water intake (RWI) where there are two intake buildings (IPS1 & IPS2 Inlet Pumping Station) which are used to pump water to a nearby reservoir.
SPIRAC was contracted to upgrade the Inlet Works Area for this project to allow for future population growth in the area.
