SPIRAC has manufactured a 12-metre shaftless spiral slewing conveyor designed to provide a flexible solution for sludge outloading.

The design incorporates a single pivot point at the inlet, allowing the entire conveyor to slew across a wide operating arc and discharge sludge over a large area.

The conveyor combines SPIRAC's proven shaftless spiral technology with a slewing arrangement, enabling efficient handling of dewatered sludge. By slewing the complete conveyor, operators can load trucks positioned at different locations or create evenly distributed sludge stockpiles without relocating equipment.

With an overall length of approximately 12 metres and a slewing radius of around 7.4 metres, the system provides extensive operational coverage while maintaining a compact footprint.

Key benefits include:

  • Efficient truck loading from a single feed point.
  • Improved sludge stockpile management.
  • Reduced reliance on mobile handling equipment.
  • Lower maintenance through shaftless spiral technology.
  • Reliable handling of sticky and fibrous sludge.

Currently undergoing final workshop assembly prior to shipment, the shaftless spiral slewing conveyor showcases SPIRAC's ability to deliver innovative solids handling solutions that improve operational flexibility and efficiency in biosolids management applications.
